Organisation Description: Sikhula Sonke ECD is a Non Profit Organisation that was born out of a project of Claremont Methodist Church in 2001. Our mission statement is as follows: Sikhula Sonke's primary reason for existence is to offer free early childhood development training and support to the parents, caregivers and pre-school teachers of young children in the Khayelitsha township of Cape Town, South Africa. Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • Program development and administration
  • Financial Management
  • Communications and Public Relations
  • Human Resource Management
  • Fundraising
  • Board administration and support


     

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum of two years experience working in a non-profit organization, including supervising paid and volunteer staff and working with a volunteer Chairman and Board of Directors.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Successful experience raising money and managing fundraising programs.
  • Proven ability to obtain grant funding.
  • Experience in non-profit fiscal management, including fund accounting, budgeting, and grant management.

Other Skills required

  • Demonstrated ability in written and oral communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute a strategic plan.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Computer skills (M.S. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Pastel, internet, etc.).
  • Understanding and basic knowledge of early childhood development.
